THE SPACE OF THE INVISIBLE

2021
Workshop
Part of The Twelve Workshops Collective
Open House Hackney, London

The Space of the Invisible is designed to explore the idea of air and empty spaces around us and how to come in physical contact with them, using our bodies as exploration tools.

Imagined in two acts, the workshop is articulated around the reading of guided poems (Act I) relating to movements and gestures as a way to connect with the idea of empty spaces around and within oneself, inviting the participants into a moving meditation and coming in a state of deep listening, moving along with the actions of the poems.

In the second act (Act II), the participants are invited to discuss the first part of the workshop and dwell deeper on the idea of empty spaces and the invisible and how to visualise it/come in contact with it, experimenting with materials to play with and collaboratively explore how we can shape ‘The Space of the Invisible’ prompting ideas and using their bodies and props to explore the theme.
